Campaign to Create an Extraterrestrial Affairs Commission, Denver, CO 2008-2010 

[Note: Congress, the White House, Pentagon, and NASA, all now have hearings, committees or offices dealing with this issue. Recordkeeping of UFO/UAP information was signed in law with the passage of the 2024 National Defense Authorization Act. The White House has recently instructed the Pentagon to release all of its files related to the UFO/UAP issue. 6/1/08 – An encounter that may look alien

• "At the forum Tuesday, sponsored by environmental groups and focusing on conservation and sustainability, many of the candidates referred to Peckman's intelligence, some even asking to give their answers to questions before he did so as not to look less thoughtful by comparison when going after.
  ...The following night, Peckman was not present at a "Candidate Survivor" forum organized by New Era Colorado that included the six candidates most often grouped as the "serious" or "viable" candidates in the field. At the end of that forum, the six candidates were each asked which of their competitors they would vote for if not themselves.
  It was a question they'd all been asked at least once before (trust me, I asked it); and it was a question the group once again struggled to answer openly. After Carol Boigon drew boos from the crowd for taking nearly a minute before flat-out refusing to answer, the other five candidates to follow all gave the same answer -- all five said they would vote for Peckman."

Oregon’s Measure 27 to Label Genetically Engineered Food 2002

     I was the author, and liaison with safe food advocates who endorsed Measure 27. They included  the Consumers Union, Center for Food Safety, Center for Ethics and Toxics, Democratic Party of Oregon, Friends of the Earth, Greenpeace U.S.A., Paul McCartney, Nature’s Path Foods, Oregon League of Conservation Voters, Oregon Physicians for Social Responsibility, Oregon Rural Action, Oregon Tilth, Organic Consumers Association, OSPIRG, Pacific Green Party, Sierra Club (Oregon Chapter), Union of Concerned Scientists , United Nations World Summit on Sustainable Development, United Natural Foods, , religious leaders, and many more.
